No self - awareness, clearly, & neither had his parents who allowed him to continue. In spite of myself & the person sitting next to me turning around a few times, he blissfully continued to noisily munch his way through. Covid is still around, people.Īnother extremely irritating aspect was the young teenager behind us who managed to scoff his way through 3 bags of sweets during the first half of the show. The downside is that in spite of clear instructions for the audience to wear masks, very few did, which is just ignorant. What a great show! I do think it went on a long time & a couple of songs possibly could've been cut from it, but can't fault the acting/singing & the costumes & animatronics. My 10 y.o guest enjoyed the performance but said they found the audience noisy.

Annoying! Popcorn was everywhere including the floor, and the smell nauseating! Although children under four are discouraged from attending there were several tiny babes in arms present, one in front of us who required to leave the seat with the adult frequently and it took ages for the great big hulk of a parent to sit down when they returned to the seats. Audience responding whether encouraged to or not. The restrooms are clean and loads of ushers are all polite and helpful.Īs this was a matinee in the school holidays it was packed with children.

The show has been on long enough for the performance to be totally fine-tuned and the performers were clearly on the mark. The puppetry and costumes are just splendid! There is an entrance of the animals through the stalls and up to the stage so that was extra special to see some of the workings close up and in detail. V expensive! Also paid an additional £1 for the booster seat, as previous experience with children has taught me they really need this especially in the stalls. I waited and looked for cheap tickets but it was never going to happen so eventually I just paid the astronomical sums and took a ten-year-old to see this during the Easter break.
